Hi, I’m Kelsie Ortiz, a Clinical Professional Counselor Candidate (PCLC) based in Bozeman, Montana. I believe healing begins when we feel truly seen and heard. I work with individuals and couples navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, and patterns that no longer serve them. My approach is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and attachment science, offering a safe and compassionate space for exploration, self-understanding, and lasting change.

Healing & Self-Discovery

Life can bring experiences that leave us feeling anxious, stuck, or disconnected from our authentic selves—or from the people we love. In our work together, we’ll slow down, explore your emotional world, and uncover how past experiences may be shaping your present.

Therapy can help you:

  • Understand and shift unhelpful patterns

  • Heal emotional wounds from earlier relationships

  • Build self-compassion and resilience

  • Strengthen communication and emotional connection in your relationship

  • Gain clarity and confidence in navigating life’s challenges

Through our collaboration, you’ll learn new ways of relating to yourself and your partner—grounded in self-trust, emotional clarity, and a deeper sense of well-being.

Therapeutic Approach

My work integrates:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – Exploring and processing emotions to promote healing and growth.
Attachment-Based Work – Understanding how early relationships influence current emotional patterns and relationship dynamics.
Evidence-Based Strategies – Providing practical tools for emotional regulation, communication, and self-understanding.

I have completed the EFT Externship and continue to deepen my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy under the supervision of Cindy Poulsen, LCSW, and Julie Menanno, LMFT, LCPC. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Dakota and have supported clients through anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and relational wounds. My approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and focused on creating a space where you can feel safe to explore and grow.

About Me

Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, biking, hiking, and spending time at the lake. I bring warmth, curiosity, and genuine care into every session, ensuring you feel understood, supported, and empowered in your journey.

If you’re ready to better understand yourself, heal, and move toward a life and relationships that feel more authentic and fulfilling, I’d be honored to work with you.
