Hi, I’m Alli Floyd, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Candidate (PCLC) based in Montana. I work primarily with young children and their families. I believe meaningful change begins with connection. When children feel safe, understood, and supported, they are better able to grow, learn, and explore their emotions.

Helping Children Feel Safe, Seen, and Supported

Many kids experience big feelings that show up as anxiety, overwhelm, meltdowns, shutdowns, difficulty with transitions, or challenges with peers and siblings. My first priority is building a trusting relationship with your child so therapy feels like a safe place to be themselves. Sessions are engaging and age-appropriate, using play, movement, and creative activities to help children express what they may not have words for yet.

Supporting Emotional Regulation and Everyday Coping

I help children learn to recognize their emotions, understand what their feelings are communicating, and practice strategies they can use at home and at school. Together, we work on emotional regulation, problem-solving, confidence, and healthy ways to express needs.

Parenting and Caregiver Support

Children don’t grow in isolation. They grow through relationships. My work is attachment-based and relational, which means I focus on strengthening connection, both in the therapy room and at home. I take a collaborative approach and believe caregivers are an essential part of a child’s progress.

I work closely with parents and caregivers to support consistency between sessions and home life, offering guidance around behavior, emotional regulation, communication, and parenting challenges. Together, we explore family dynamics and patterns that may be impacting your child, while building practical tools that strengthen connection and increase emotional safety.

Therapeutic Approach

My work is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and meeting each child where they are. I use a person-centered, attachment-based, and family-focused approach that blends play-based activities with practical tools, always prioritizing the therapeutic relationship. I believe children learn best when they feel connected, and I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where that connection can grow.

About Me

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, being active, and bringing creativity and movement into my work with kids. I’m passionate about helping children feel seen, supported, and capable, and partnering with families as they navigate life’s challenges together.

If your family needs support for your child or help building healthier connections, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
