About Sarah

Hi, I'm Sarah Loux, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Montana and Washington with over a decade of experience as a mental health therapist. I specialize in helping individuals heal attachment wounds, navigate emotional challenges, and cultivate resilience and self-understanding. My work is deeply rooted in attachment science, offering a structured yet compassionate space for self-discovery, healing, and meaningful change.

Healing and self-discovery

Our early experiences shape how we relate to ourselves, regulate emotions, and move through the world. If you find yourself struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or recurring relational patterns, therapy can help you understand what is happening beneath the surface and gently shift these patterns. Together, Sarah helps clients explore unresolved attachment wounds, family-of-origin dynamics, and internal barriers, and reclaim an authentic self free from shame and self-criticism, building greater self-compassion, emotional clarity, and confidence.

  • Better understand their emotional responses and internal patterns
  • Heal attachment-related wounds
  • Reduce anxiety, overwhelm, and self-doubt
  • Strengthen their relationship with themselves
  • Develop healthier emotional regulation and self-awareness

Sarah's therapeutic approach

Sarah's approach integrates Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFiT) to support emotional processing and secure attachment with the self, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients understand and heal different parts of themselves, and psychodynamic therapy to explore the deeper emotional patterns shaped by past experiences. She has completed advanced training in EFT, including the Externship, Core Skills, and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFiT), allowing her to offer a specialized, attachment-focused approach to individual therapy.

Outside of therapy

Outside of sessions, Sarah enjoys hiking with her husband, practicing mindfulness and yoga, traveling, reading, and a good TV show. She brings warmth, curiosity, and deep engagement into her sessions, creating a space where clients feel truly seen, understood, and supported.
