About Sarah

Sarah Marsh is a Clinical Social Worker Candidate (SWLC) and Family Support Specialist at Bozeman Therapy & Counseling. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families through an attachment-based lens, with a particular focus on early childhood, family connection, and developmental support. Her approach integrates Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), early childhood intervention, and developmental assessment to help children and families build the kind of secure, emotionally attuned relationships that form the foundation for lifelong wellbeing.

Supporting children and families

Sarah's passion lies in helping children and adolescents develop emotional awareness, regulate their emotions, and feel safe in their relationships. Whether a child is struggling with anxiety, behavioral challenges, or emotional regulation, therapy provides a space to explore feelings in a way that fosters growth, confidence, and self-compassion. Because a child's early experiences shape how they connect with the world, Sarah's work pays close attention to attachment, emotional development, and the family dynamics that support lasting wellbeing.

Parenting and family support

Parenting is deeply rewarding, but it also comes with complex challenges. Sarah offers parent coaching and guidance to help families create a home environment that promotes security and connection. She has extensive experience supporting parents of children from infancy through adolescence, including:

  • Early childhood emotional and behavioral development
  • Parent-child attachment and bonding
  • Family transitions, including blended family adjustments
  • Emotional regulation and social skills in children and teens

Sarah's therapeutic approach

Sarah's work is rooted in attachment-based therapy, and she integrates a range of evidence-based modalities. These include Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to strengthen family relationships and emotional bonds; Promoting First Relationships and Parents Interacting with Infants and Toddlers for specialized early intervention with young children and caregivers; and developmental assessments to help parents better understand and support their child's growth. She believes every child deserves to feel understood, valued, and emotionally supported, and she works closely with parents so children feel safe expressing themselves while developing the skills to thrive.

Outside of therapy

Outside of sessions, Sarah enjoys culinary experimentation, community volunteering, and exploring Montana's beautiful landscapes. Her personal and professional experiences have shaped her passion for helping families build strong, healthy emotional connections that last a lifetime.
