About Micah
Hi, I'm Micah Leach, a Clinical Social Worker Candidate (SWLC) at Bozeman Therapy & Counseling. My aim is to create a genuine, warm, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore life's challenges at their own pace. I work with adolescents and adults, and I believe that healing happens in the context of safe, authentic relationships. Working from a holistic perspective is important to me, and my approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every person deserves dignity, understanding, and hope.
Healing and self-discovery
Our early experiences shape how we relate to ourselves, regulate our emotions, and move through the world. If you find yourself struggling with anxiety, low mood, grief, emotional overwhelm, or painful relational patterns, therapy can help you understand what is happening beneath the surface and gently shift it. Together, Micah helps clients explore the experiences and emotions getting in the way of healing and connection, and move toward greater self-compassion, clarity, and resilience.
Individual therapy focus
Micah works with people who want to:
- Better understand their emotional responses and internal patterns
- Heal attachment-related wounds
- Reduce anxiety, overwhelm, and self-doubt
- Strengthen their relationship with themselves
- Develop healthier emotional regulation and self-awareness
Micah's therapeutic approach
Micah's approach draws on attachment, humanistic, and trauma-informed theories, which inform the model at the heart of her work: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT highlights our innate human desire to connect, love, and build secure attachments. She is passionate about helping people build secure connections, develop resilience, and move toward lives that align with their values, and she welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds with respect for each person's humanity.
Outside of therapy
Outside of therapy, Micah enjoys skiing, spending time outside, traveling, and being with her friends, family, and her dog, Ollie. She brings warmth, compassion, and genuine presence into her sessions, creating a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported.
